Ray Lighting appoints new Board Director to support UK and overseas growth
RAY Lighting, the award-winning UK lighting manufacturer, today announced that Steve Moore has joined the company as a non-executive director.
Steve, a CEDIA Lifetime Achievement winner, is a respected and trusted figure in the custom installation space following a near 40-year career. He founded leading systems integrator SMC, and has additionally worked in a variety of leadership and consultancy roles for a number of leading consumer electronics, software and Proptech businesses.
Jason Wilkin, co-founder of RAY Lighting commented: “High quality, full-spectrum lighting has been shown to have beneficial effects for all of us. As a result, Ray’s innovative products have been welcomed in outstanding residential and hospitality projects, as well as in numerous specialist sectors. Ray is launching some ground-breaking new products this year, and boosting their manufacturing to meet this demand. We’re embarking on new partnerships and expanding into new territories. We’re strengthening the team to best suit the needs and new priorities of our growing business, and Steve’s background and relationships makes him ideally suited for this role. We are delighted to welcome him to the team.”
Steve Moore said: “I love the feeling of wonderful light – it makes me happy. I’ve worked on a number of projects in recent years where the lighting design has been focused on delivering the right quality of light through the day to support the health of the users, which is what drew me to Ray. Of course, this sort of solution needs to work in concert with other smart systems, in order for people to get the best results. My career has been founded on helping people get the best out of this sort of technology in the built environment. Ray’s beautifully-designed lighting products genuinely improve people’s lives so I am therefore thrilled to join Simon, Jason and their team. It’s a very exciting time for this business, and I look forward to helping develop it even further.”
RAY: Lighting for Life.
Lighting is our passion. Truly. It must be beautiful. But beyond that it should acknowledge that we respond to light not just visually, but also psychologically and biologically. It must be as gentle as sunlight, while bringing the wonder of colour and texture to our indoor environments.
