Classic Building Refurbishment with RAY Lighting
On a listed building in the heart of London, any refurbishment work must enhance but also be discreet.
When this substantial but dated property was scheduled to be transformed into a contemporary family home, a top design team came together to create a classic architectural lighting solution, striving to achieve the best possible design solution for the application. With this in mind, they came to RAY to ensure the lighting scheme was delivered, not only in terms of elegant fitting designs and stunning, Full Spectrum light quality, but with the added health aspect that takes this building to the next level.
RAYs modular products are designed to seamlessly integrate into the interior and exterior architectural features alongside lighting control systems – enabling state-of-the-art, sleek operation with perfect dimming control; zero flicker. The resulting Full Spectrum light emission achieves a CRI of 98+, rendering colours and textures perfectly. And all this within the careful budget required to make the re-sale a success.
This unique lighting brand is designed to recreate the smooth spectral curves of sunlight with striking visual effect. But there are further benefits to the natural balance achieved with RAY’s Full Spectrum technology – since it removes the spike of excess blue evident in other standard LED lighting. Exposure to this stimulating blue base is now understood to cause excess cortisol in our systems, disrupting biological rhythms, including circadian patterns that help us sleep, wake and digest.
The 5 bedroom property is now on the market for almost £2m and agents are showing it with the confidence needed in that bracket – knowing that every detail has been considered to the highest possible standard. The house comes complete with a full cinema/media room, spa room with steam and sauna, and gym.
“The estate agent’s images do not do this home justice! It’s stunning. And it’s not just about the exceptional finishing applied throughout, but it’s also the ‘feel’ of it as a living space. With RAY’s healthy lighting throughout a real sense of calm and comfort is achieved.”
