Bang & Olufsen showroom brings the sunlight inside
Bang & Olufsen is a at the pinnacle of high-fidelity sound. It’s only right that their showrooms should feature high-fidelity lighting too – lighting that is true and precise, ensuring customers who appreciate the best sensory quality can immerse themselves in the full AV experience.
At the Cheltenham showroom RAY Lighting now features – with Low Pro Cool engines in Flow housing, providing subtly directional lighting. All RAY lighting offers perfect dimming control; zero flicker; and beautiful light emission that achieves a CRI of 98+, whilst the BlueBalance TM chip ensures there is no excess blue spike, typical in other LED.
This level of technical excellence means RAY’s sleek fittings essentially have an output that is just like natural sunlight. Its Full Spectrum curve is smooth and gentle on the eyes, rendering colour and texture perfectly.
The Bang & Olufsen showroom aims to provide a welcoming, helpful and immersive experience, as the website states. Store owner, Jason Briggs, explains,
“Our showroom is a real sensory exploration, so we are very careful to source the best possible AV products to showcase what’s achievable. Good lighting is crucial to our aesthetic appreciation, but it’s not just about the way a space looks, it’s also the way it feels. Light and sound are complementary – when the best of both is used it’s a powerful experience.”
All RAY’s engineering is geared towards top quality product and light emission, as well as health. Many people are aware that blue light is harmful to our biological systems and upsets our circadian rhythms, but very few understand that the LED lights used all over the world are constantly exposing us to this over-stimulating part of the spectrum! The excess is jarring to our nervous systems and damaging to our sleep patterns, amongst many other health implications.
By eliminating the harmful levels of blue in the actual chip the lamp is built around, RAY creates a uniquely balanced light source that is aligned with our natural systems. An aspect of lighting that discerning buyers are increasingly demanding.
